Intercountry Conference
Tomoe Takagi travelled to international medical conferences many times as a representative of the Japanese government.
The XVIth meeting, in Budapest, ran from 29 August to 2 September 1909, and was a grand affair. Over 5,000 delegates attended, and every congress member was given a scholarly medical guide to Budapest, a ticket for free use of the local baths and a fine bronze medallion designed by the sculptor György Vastagh.
