醫學校 Medical School
The Taiwan Governor's Medical School was established in 1897 by the then Taiwan Governor's Office to train local medical professionals and improve public health in Taiwan. In 1899, the "Official System of the Medical School of the Taiwan Governor's Office" was promulgated, and in July of the same year, the "Rules of the Medical School of the Taiwan Governor's Office" were promulgated, the first of which stated that "the Medical School of the Taiwan Governor's Office is a medical training centre that teaches medical science to the people of the island" and stipulated that "the duration of the course is four years for the bachelor's degree and one year for the preparatory degree". This was the beginning of medical education in Taiwan.
